Your track record got you here. Now your confidence needs to catch up.

You've earned this role. The people who promoted you believe in you and deep down, so do you. But since you stepped up, something's shifted. The decisions feel bigger, the stakes feel higher, and the confident leader you've always been feels harder to access than it used to.

That gap between your capability and your confidence isn't a sign you're not ready. It's one of the most common and least talked about experiences of stepping into a more senior leadership role. And it has a habit of getting worse the longer you leave it.

Lead With Confidence is focused one-to-one coaching for experienced leaders who know what good looks like and need the clarity and conviction to lead with it in their new context.

Sound familiar?

You didn't get here by accident. You've worked hard, delivered results, and earned the trust of the people who gave you this opportunity. On paper, everything looks fine. You're performing. You're coping. Nobody looking in from the outside would guess there's anything wrong.

You knew it would be a stretch. You wanted the challenge. But somewhere between landing the role and now, it's started to feel less like a step up and more like your old job with twice the pressure and half the time. You're firefighting when you should be leading. You're saying yes when you know you shouldn't.

The strategic leader you planned to be feels a long way from the reality of your diary.

You're exhausted from the effort of keeping all the plates spinning. And quietly, in the moments you don't say out loud, you're wondering whether you've bitten off more than you can chew.

You haven't. But something needs to change.

What we work on

Every conversation is different, but these tend to be the things that are actually going on:

  • You're still doing too much of the work yourself and you know it, but letting go feels risky

  • The politics at this level are more complex than anything you've navigated before and you haven't quite cracked it yet

  • Your relationship with your former peers shifted when you got the job and you're still figuring out how to lead people who used to be your equals

  • You're not sure your voice carries the authority it needs to at this level

  • You look confident in the room. You don't always feel it

  • You're working harder than ever but not sure you're making the right kind of impact

  • The people around you think you're doing well. You're less convinced

Sound familiar? That's what we work on.

How does it work?

The programme is six one-to-one sessions, normally over six months. We tend to work more intensively at the start when there's most to untangle, then space the later sessions out as things start to settle and you have more to reflect on.

Between sessions you have direct access to me. If something comes up, if you want to think something through before your next session, or if you just need a sounding board in the moment, I'm there. A lot of the real work happens in those spaces between the formal sessions.

Sessions are on Zoom as standard. If you're in Coventry or Warwickshire and you'd rather meet in person, you're welcome to come to me.
